Students invited to apply for SJU Dubai law scholarshipsJuly 7, 2015, 7:55 am GMT
Dubai high school students are invited to apply for scholarships to attend Saint Joseph University (SJU) Dubai's law programme.
The scholarship scheme covers up to 50% of university fees and gives high performing students access to a prominent regional law school.
SJU Dubai, a branch of the 140-year old Lebanese institution, established its faculty of law under a Government of Dubai Programme for leadership development.
"Our scholarships create a unique opportunity for high potential students to access one of the region's most prestigious law schools," said Dr. Nisrine Abiad, the director of USJ Dubai Campus.
"This initiative meets two goals. First, it helps SJU Dubai attract the brightest Arab minds in the region to become a de facto leader in the generation and dissemination of new legal knowledge.
"Second, it creates a generation of young people who are capable of supporting the socio-economic development of the UAE and GCC by assuming positions of responsibility and expertise in comparative, local and international law
The University's academic year starts in September, and admissions are now open for 2015/2016.
The SJU Dubai curriculum is tailored to the legal frameworks prevalent in the UAE and GCC.
The law program is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Abu Dhabi.
