New British curriculum school to open in DubaiMarch 14, 2016, 9:56 am GMT
Arcadia Preparatory School is scheduled to open in August 2016 in Dubai's Jumeirah Village Triangle.
The school will offer the National Curriculum of England to students from Foundation Stage One to Key Stage Two.
The school will take a holistic, teacher-focused approach to make teachers feel valued and respected within their roles. A statement from the school says salaries will be "amongst the highest in the emirate of Dubai, with generous remuneration packages".
Teachers will also be offered ongoing access to training courses to keep their skills up to date.
Mohan Valrani, founder and chairman of the school said: "The vision of the Arcadia team was to create a school in which teachers are treated with the same value and respect that they are expected to instil in their own students.
"In planning Arcadia Preparatory School we looked carefully at the UAE's education landscape and saw that teachers are not always well looked after by their employers. By strategically partnering with Gabbitas, the highly-respected global consultancy experts in British education, we ensure we are creating the optimum teacher-focused environment - in addition to the best educational opportunities for each and every one of our students."
