GEMS students attend United Nations Children's Fund exhibitionNovember 22, 2017, 5:30 am GMT
Students from GEMS Modern Academy expressed solidarity with less fortunate children from Syria, Namibia, Greece, Sierra Leone and El Salvador by learning about their stories and leaving their messages of hope at a United Nations Children's Fund's exhibition.
Titled 'There is Hope', the exhibition at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) showcased UNICEF's first global campaign capturing stories of how lives of children and adults have transformed significantly through funds and donations.
Celebrating UNICEF's 70th anniversary, the campaign demonstrated the impact and importance of UNICEF's work, through first-hand accounts of people that received support as children and had their lives transformed as a result.
GEMS Modern Academy students learnt about the children from an interactive photo wall and videos in preparation of World Children's Day on November 20.
